Motor Mount for Aluminum Felt Crusiers
Well we all know some times when we get excited about building some project, we get into it and find nothing fits or works. While some of us find this part of a project a welcome challenge, others find it a reason to throw it in a corner of the garage, or find somebody to take a try at it. It seems the hardest part of the project is mounting the engine in the Bike frame. The popular 2 stroke motors were made to fit a standard 26" bike frame, but if you go with some bike frame that is different, you have to start with a clean sheet of paper. For the builders who like the Felt Aluminum framed cruisers, like the "1903" and Slater, because of their certain features, we've made mounting the engine a breeze. The Mounts are machined from 6061-t6 aluminum and are tumbled to take off all sharp edges, and provide a good start for the finish you prefer for your ride. You can polish, scotch brite, or paint them, to match the look you are after. The design of the mounts allow for any angle adjustments that may be required for a good solid, stress free mounting. The mounts have good bearing area around the frame tubes, to prefent damage to frame. All stainless steel screws are included. Pictures below show mount brushed out with fine ScotchBrite. Also available in Satin Black Anodize.
